There is nothing quite as rejuvenating to the soul as wilderness backpacking. I will never forget the first time I packed all of my gear into a bag and carried it through the mountains. I was 11 years old and instantly fell in love with it, in spite of my blistered feet, sore shoulders, and achilles tendinitis.
